On 7 August 2024, TEAM provided a platform for discussion among its members on the compliance of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). Mr Chua Song Fong, the President of TEAM, shared updates on the recent meeting with the Forestry Department of Peninsular Malaysia (JPSM) that took place on 29 July 2024 on the required documentation for EUDR compliance. During the discussion, members were informed that the Forestry Department is in the process of developing PSOH (Pendigitalan Sumber dan Operasi Hutan) system to help industry members in compliance of EUDR.
On the other hand, the Forestry Department had developed a QR code system with the information required by EUDR, to be attached to the Removal Passes as one of the supporting documentation for industry members.
