TEAM, headed by Mr Chua SF, the President, initiated an engagement with the Director General of MTIB yesterday. Representatives of MTC, MFC, MWIA and MWMJC were invited to the engagement session.
The discussion centered on the implementation of MYTLAS Plus, with TEAM raising several key concerns and recommendations to MTIB.
Key Points:1. Verification process: MTIB should obtain Borang 1 details from the Forestry Department to verify removal passes submitted.
2. Geolocation polygon map: MTIB should obtain it directly from the Forestry Department and make the polygon maps available to industry members for reference and verification purposes.
3. Old stocks: Lack of Borang 1; MTIB suggested submitting a declaration by the Commissioner of Oaths
4. Fees: Current RM100 fee is considered too high; TEAM suggested MTIB to table at the next Board meeting for review
5. Scientific names: TEAM requested MTIB to share the list
6. Recommended that one shipment should correspond to one MYTLAS certificate.
7. Global rollout: MTIB should clear outstanding issues before introducing MYTLAS Plus.
