TEAM successfully completed its Mission to Surabaya, Indonesia, from 1 to 5 June 2026. The organizing committee, led by the mission chairman, Mr. George Tan, executed a productive week of industry networking and factory visits.
The mission opened up valuable opportunities for sourcing cost-effective plantation timber resources. TEAM extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Aly Risza from CV Jati Makmur, Mr. Richard Ladyrus and Mr. Are Sampono from PT Woodone Integra Indonesia, and Mr. Shible Mohideen from PT Mitra Audy Persada for opening their doors, hosting insightful mill visits, and exploring technical product specifications with our delegation.
TEAM also hosted a conference at the Morazen Hotel, Surabaya, engaging in a constructive two-hour dialogue with major Indonesian forestry associations, including APHI, APKINDO, and ISWA. TEAM extends its gratitude to Dr. Tjipta Purwita from APHI for his insightful presentation during the session. Moving forward, the discussion mapped out crucial insights on the local SVLK certification framework and EUDR compliance.
The TEAM delegation further expanded its network by attending the Indowood Expo 2026 at the Grand City Convex, where they met with officials from the East Java Province Forestry Department to introduce the delegation and exchange greetings.
The trade mission was successfully accomplished through the excellent cooperation of all delegation members.
