Mr Chua Song Fong, President of TEAM was invited as one of the speakers during MTIB’s “Sesi Libat Urus Pelaksanaan MyTLAS ke Arah Pematuhan EUDR” held at Sunway Putra Hotel on 15 May 2025.
Mr Chua shared valuable takeaways from TEAM’s Mission to the EU and UK in November 2024, highlighting recommended documentation to align with the regulations.
The engagement session aimed to inform stakeholders on the strengthening of the Malaysian Timber Legality Assurance System (MyTLAS) and preparations towards EUDR compliance. The session also gathered feedback from the timber industry. Speakers from the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities, Forestry Department and MTIB presented their updates related to EUDR.
