TEAM conducted a visit to two plantation sites in Kuala Kubu Bharu on 26 June 2025, organized by Mr Aaron How, the Co-Chairman of the Membership Relations Committee.
Mr Hansel of Hijauan Muda Sdn Bhd, at the first stop, introduced his plantation of Paulownia spp., a fast-growing species with strong potential for sustainable timber production, which will soon be harvested. TEAM also had the opportunity to view the plots of Kelampayan and Eucalyptus trees that are being grown.
TEAM also visited a 293-hectare bamboo plantation managed by Clarity Crest Sdn Bhd in Sungai Kerling, where the delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr Abdul Hamid and his colleagues. Formerly a rubber estate, the plantation has been successfully converted to bamboo, which highlights sustainable practices like bamboo mulching.
